Any bankruptcy is pathetic. It is a cruel sounding word. Everybody would love to avoid saying or even thinking about it. Not to think about the possible problem won't help to actually avoid it. It's not a solution. There are some specific things people had better known regarding bankruptcy even before applying for a credit card, be it an individual or a business.
When we apply for a credit card we aren't actually thinking about possible bankruptcy. Only a very diligent person takes everything into consideration from the very beginning and considers bankruptcy as a possibility down the road. Handling finances is not an easy task. One should better understand that there are both positive sides as well as drawbacks of credit cards.
The negative point is that bankruptcy is not something people enjoy thinking on a regular basis. It seems that even if bankruptcies happen, they might happen but - "not with us". But people who end up with bad credit history start thinking differently. There are still a number of people poorly informed about bankruptcy issues. They have never heard that bankruptcy is something worth considering as a consequence of unsuccessful money management. They just apply for credit cards.
One is always in the nervous emotional state, when he/she is about to declare himself/herself bankrupt. When you are bankrupt, most likely nobody will trust you with money. Yes, there are bad credit card offers but it doesn't make you feel much happier.
In this article I will try to answer several most frequently asked questions about bankruptcy so that you will have at least some basic understanding of credit cards and how to "treat" them. Hopefully, it will help you in case you will turn out to go through such difficult period of your life. So, what is bankruptcy?
Bankruptcy is defined differently in accordance with the different chapters of bankruptcy. There is a United States bankruptcy code. What is important is that a person with a bad credit history has a number of options - particularly there are three types of bankruptcies: chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcies. The numbers correspond to the specific chapter in the US bankruptcy code. Each specific bankruptcy type has got its peculiarities. But these are the consequences. But how can one protect himself/herself from bankruptcy?
The answer is pretty simple: just try to protect yourself from bad credit history. Always be sure that you are diligent enough with your credit usage, make sure that you have no debts. If you have debts, make sure that you can pay them back as soon as possible. In reality it is not that difficult not to go bankrupt. You just have to make sure that you are not neglecting your payments and credit card history. In case you already have a bad credit history, still try to gradually improve your credit history. As time goes by, you will be eligible to apply for fair credit card offers. Good luck! There are even bad/no credit card offers at CreditCardFlyers.com!
