I often see on TV and in the streets how much attention people pay to the looks of their cars, they paint them fabulous colors, install mini-bars and media centers… In addition to these ways to pimp your ride you can apply for a gasoline credit card – it is really a trendy tidbit. A gas credit card will not make you and your car look hot, but it is sure to save a good deal of money for you!
It is next to impossible to live in this country without a car. If you have none, you are either a kid or an immigrant who has recently arrived here. A family can usually have more than 1 car, as going to grocery or to the hairdresser is impossible without an automobile. People prefer going to cheaper groceries or getting grocery credit cards than saving on gasoline.
Oil prices are in constant growth, so there is no hope of gas being cheap. Since gas is one if the basic needs of a household, it is especially important for a frugal consumer to keep these expenses as low as possible. There are a few interesting credit card deals for gasoline in the market, and they are more than just gas cards. Many plastics of this category provide rebates on car maintenance, co-branded rewards etc.
If compared with a number of rewards credit cards, gas plastics often turn out to be more beneficial giving up to 6% in cash back or 5 points rewards. If you have points or cash back credit card for purchases, you know the difference is sizeable.
Take, for example, Citi Diamond Preferred Rewards MasterCard: it has really advantageous features. You can earn 5 rewards points for every dollar spent at gas stations, supermarkets and other places during the first 12 months. No annual fee, no setup fee and 0% intro APR on balance transfers make Citi Rewards much more alluring!
Of course, car owners can save on gas applying for a specialized gas credit card, like Chase bank BP Rewards Visa which provides up to 10% cash back at BP gas stations and 5% after the intro period. No matter what kind of credit card you will choose – a co-branded one or a bank issued card to be used at different gas pumps. You will surely manage to be more frugal with gasoline purchases and save some funds to pimp your ride!
